VARTAN.AERO was founded in 1997 to provide on site product support for cabin interior suppliers at the Airbus final assembly line in Hamburg. Over the past years we have established entities at 12 locations in 6 countries on 3 continents. Today, we work not only with cabin interiors but also with aircraft systems and composite aerostructures.
With more than 300 skilled and experienced staff the VARTAN.AERO works on all major aircraft programs and is able to support its customers worldwide. We operate maintenance shops in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich and Seattle as well as Centers of Excellence in Hamburg, Toulouse and Seattle. We hold EASA, FAA and CAR part 145 approvals with C6 ratings and provide our services under our EN/AS 9100-certified quality management system.

History
1997
Foundation
Foundation of Vartan Product Support GmbH in Hamburg, Germany to take care of the needs of cabin interior manufacturers at the Airbus final assembly line in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. The idea was to concentrate service needs of several manufacturers, enabling them to fulfill their requirements in relation to Airbus und to be present on site with flexible and cost-effective solutions by being the link between suppliers, airlines, and aircraft manufacturers.
2005
Expansion Hamburg
Over the years, Vartan Product Support GmbH had grown with its customers and their expanding range of products for the Airbus A320-family. When the A380 was introduced in 2005, the time had come to take the strategic decision to expand the company. New technicians were hired and trained on the high cabin standards of the new aircraft program.
2006
Maintenance Hamburg
In the beginning of 2006 Global Interior Support GmbH - today part of Vartan Germany GmbH - was founded as a wholly owned subsidiary of Vartan Product Support GmbH to perform aircraft interior maintenance as well as after sales services under its EASA part 145 certificate.
2007
FAL Support Toulouse
Besides the head office in Hamburg, Vartan Product Support SARL - today Vartan France SARL - was launched in Toulouse to offer support for customers at the biggest Airbus facility. Toulouse has become the biggest Vartan location worldwide today and serves Airbus A320-family, A330, A350 and A380 as well as ATR programs.
2008
FAL Support Tianjin
The Representative Office China was established at the new Airbus A320-family final assembly line in Tianjin. The Rep Office is part of Vartan Germany GmbH.
Today, Vartan supports its customers on Airbus single aisle and long range aircraft programs in Tianjin.
2010
FAL Support Seattle
The biggest aircraft production site in the world, Boeing's factories in Seattle, was the next logical step for expansion. In addition to its support activities at the Airbus final assembly lines, Vartan founded its first company in the United States to support its customers in Everett and Renton on Boeing's 737, 767, 777, and 787 programs.
2012
FAL Support Charleston
Vartan opened its second US support location at the Boeing 787 final assembly line in Charleston, South Carolina.
2013
Center of Excellence Hamburg
The Vartan Aviation Group opened its first Center of Excellence with an assembly shop for cabin interior parts to support manufacturers as extended workbench in Norderstedt next to Hamburg Airport. Today, the workshops are located in Finkenwerder directly next to the Airbus final assembly line.
Our teams support work steps from bonding and pre-assembly over all decor works and final product assembly up to source and FAI inspections. Vartan also took over the responsibility for all decor and lamination processes for its customer Diehl Comfort Modules in Hamburg in 2013.
2014
Maintenance Abu Dhabi
The Vartan Aviation Group opened up a joint venture with the First Emirates Group and His Highness Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Joint Venture is a holder of CAR 145 and is providing support and maintenance services to airlines, MRO’s and cabin manufacturers in the Gulf Region.
2015
FAL Support Mobile
The Vartan Aviation Group opened its third US-based support office at the new Airbus A320-family final assembly line in Mobile, Alabama.
2016
FAL Support Montreal | Melbourne (FL, USA) | Shanghai
To offer full support services for its customers on the new C-Series aircraft - today the Airbus A220 program - the Vartan Aviation Group opened a new location in Montreal right next to the Bombardier final assembly line.
A new support office at the final assembly line for Embraer executive jets was opened in Melbourne, Florida.
Vartan opened a second Representative Office in China at the Comac final assembly line in Shanghai.
2017
FAL Support Toronto | Aerostructures Support Saint-Nazaire
To ensure full scale support services at the Bombardier executive jet final assembly line in Toronto, Vartan opened a second support office Canada.
After having successfully broadened the scope of work to aerostructures in various locations in previous years, it became time to set up a permanent team at the Airbus plant in Saint-Nazaire to ensure full support for aerostructure customers on Airbus aircraft programs.
2018
Repair Station Seattle | Global Restructuring
Following market demands and the aim to use synergies from on site support knowledge and skills, Vartan USA opened a Repair Station for cabin maintenance under a new FAA 145 certificate in Seattle.
After several years of worldwide strong growth, a holding structure was implemented. The Vartan Aviation Group GmbH based in Hamburg, Germany now acts as holding company for its operational subsidiaries Vartan Germany GmbH (with the Rep Office in China), Vartan France SARL, Vartan USA LLC and Vartan Canada Inc. and it holds the shares in the Abu Dhabi Joint Venture. With this clear structure, the way is paved for further expansion and future growth.
2022
25th Anniversary / Rebranding / New Holding Management
In 2022 we have celebrated the 25th anniversary of the company. An important milestone in our history.
Throughout these years, the VARTAN company has
continuously evolved, and opened a new chapter by rebranding Vartan Aviation Group into VARTAN.AERO.
Along with these change the Holding C- Level Management has changed as well.
